Question / Issue
How do I change the Group II construction in Multi-Peril?

Answer / Solution

Group II Construction:

  1. The Group II construction is based on the selection from the Group I construction.
  2. If the Group I construction is either Frame or Joisted Masonry, the only option for the Group II is Ordinary.
  3. If the Group I construction is Non-Combustible, Masonry Non-Combustible, Modified Fire Resistive, or Fire Resistive, you will have 2 additional entry fields:
    • Wall Support Construction - with dropdown list options for:
      •  Reinforced Masonry
      • Other than Reinforced Masonry
    • Roof Support Construction - with dropdown list options for:
      •  Light Steel
      •  Other than Light Steel
      • NOTE: If you answer Yes to the Wood Roof entry, the Group II construction will always be Ordinary regardless of the Group I construction.
  4. Your selections for the two entry fields for Wall Support Construction and Roof Support Construction will determine the Group II construction.
  5. The determination of the Group II construction is based on the chart from the Citizen's manual page 5 of the Rating Section.
  6. There are also definitions of Group I and Group II  construction classes starting on page 3 through 5.
