How do I determine if a risk is in a Wind-Eligible area (Wind Pool)? |
Answer / Solution |
 |
Determining a wind eligible area:
- Citizens has a lookup help for this by street address.
- This lookup will also determine the wind territory for you.
- TurboStorm has this lookup link next to the Territory entry.
- The link is a blue circle with a white question mark to open a separate browser window to access Citizen's Wind-Only Eligible area Street Directory.
- Click on the Instant Eligibility Search link near the bottom of the page.
- This will take you to the Wind Only Eligibility and Territory Search screen.
- Select your county and enter the street number and street name.
- Click on the Search button.
- If the street that you typed in does not display on the next screen then most likely it is not in the Wind eligible area.
NOTE: Along with the street name make sure that you type in the street type (St, Ave, Ln, etc) to get a more accurate search. You can also look at the entire street directory by county list by clicking on the Browse or print street directories by county. |
