Question / Issue
What is the maximum value per building that can be rated for Commercial-Residential risks?

Answer / Solution

Value per building for Commercial-Residential risks only:

  1. TurboStorm will rate accurately up to $10,000,000 value per building based on Citizen's underwriting guidelines.
  2. TurboStorm will rate buildings with a value of $10,000,000 or more, however the rate will not be accurate or stand as the final rate.
    • Why TurboStorm cannot accurately rate buildings over $10,000,000:
      • Citizen's A-Rates buildings valued $10,000,000 or more and they do not publish their A-Rates.
      • TurboStorm rates these risks to allow agents to fill out and submit application request for an A-Rated quote from Citizens.
      • All TurboStorm quotes with a value of $10,000,000 or more will display a warning message:
          • Building 1 Any risk requesting any individual building limit of $10,000,000 or greater must be submitted 30 days prior to the requested effective date. New application submission requirements can be found at www.citizensfla.com Manuals and Forms, Wind Only, Underwriting Manuals. Be sure to follow ALL requirements. Must submit the HRA CR New Business A-Rated Cover Sheet CIT-W-IRS-4-15-06 with app.
