    | Why does it take so long to load a scanned image? |

    - The size of your image is making it large and therefore takes longer to load.
 
    - We recommend that you set your scanner's color settings to Black and White.
 
    - This will reduce the DPI (dots per inch).  The smaller the DPI the smaller the file size will be.
 
    - Our recommendation is that the maximum DPI setting should be set to 300 DPI on your scanner.
 
    - Scanning in color or with higher DPI can increase the size of yhour image file up to 20 times.
 
    - Refer to your individual scanner user manual to determine how to set the DPI and color settings.
