Question / Issue
I get this message: " / / is not a valid date" when I open the Comparative Rater, what can I do to get rid of it?

Answer / Solution

"  /  /  is an invalid date" message:

  1. This means that the validation file is corrupt or did not get written to properly.
  2. Have all users exit the Comparative Rater.
  3. Right click on your Comparative shortcut and select Properties.
  4. Click on the Find Target button.
  5. This will take you to a view of the main Comparative Rater folder.
  6. Search for the ####.vld (the only file in this folder with 4 numbers and a .vld extension - each state has a different number in front of the .vld extension).
  7. Right click and delete this file.
  8. When you open the Comparative Rater, this error message should be gone.
