Question / Issue
How do I find an existing customer in InsurancePro?

Answer / Solution

To search for a client already in the InsurancePro database:

  1. Select Find existing Policies from the Main Menu screen or from the Clients menu, select Find Existing Clients.
  2. You can look up a policy in many different ways from this screen: Name, policy number, phone, company, client address, file number.
      • Note:  Make sure that you enter ONLY either the first or last name of the person you are trying to find rather than the full name.  This will reduce the amount of search time.
  3. A new feature added to this screen is Group Results.  This will allow you to display all policies grouped under each insured's name.  This is a checkbox located on the right side of the screen under the Sort by entry field.  Checking this field groups the policies by insured.  Unchecking the box displays all policies all together based on your Sort by field.
  4. You can also sort the screen by client name, policy type, effective date, company and file number.
  5. The more information you provide, the more restricted the search will be.  Only a partial name spelling is necessary to find the client.
  6. There are several policy statuses that you can select to look up customers as well:
      • Active - The policy is currently in force.
      • Cancelled - The policy cancelled before the term expired
      • Expired - Non-renewed policy
      • Quote - Prospective customer that has been quoted.
      • Prospect - Prospective customer that has not been quoted yet.
      • All - Lists all clients in the database regardless of the policy status

Note:  the statuses of Renewal, Reinstate and Rewrite are available and can be found under the Active status.
