How do I scan a document or image into InsurancePro?

Answer / Solution

How to scan images/documents:

NOTE:  You must have a TWAIN compliant scanner installed in your system.

  1. 1)  From the Client Policy Summary Screen, click on Images/Scan Document.
  2. 2)  Click on Scan a Document.
  3. 3)  In the Attach New Image box that will come up, type in the description for the image.
  4. 4)  When the Scan New box comes up, you must select File Type: TIFF.
  5. 5)  Your scanner description should appear in the Scanner: field, if not select it from the dropdown list.
  6. 6)  Click the Setup box and then on the Scan button, this will open the scanning window.
  7. 7)  Verify that the Output type:  is set to Black & White (1 bit), if not you must find and edit the Output type option in your scanner software.  This option will vary with each scanner.
  8. 8)  Select Accept or Scan.
  9. 9)  Once the scanning has completed, click on the Close button.
  10. 10)  Your scanned document will now appear in the Description list of the Policy Summary Screen for your insured. 

TIPS:

    • The scanned document can be viewed from the Open in default viewer option.
    • The scanned document can be sent as an email attachment by selecing the document and clicking on the Email button.
